Life Coaching is not something I do, Life coaching is who I have become. I was born in British Guyana, one of the poorest countries in South America and the Southern Hemisphere, to very poor parents. Despite our circumstances, I was fortunate to have great parents. My father was brilliant and earned his Ph.D. in Linguistics by the age of 30. I inherited his intelligence and excelled in everything I pursued. In 1976, we immigrated to Canada. I began my career in banking but soon felt the urge to do more. I enrolled in a computer degree program at Humber College in Toronto. Upon completing the program, I transitioned into computer sales, where I had the opportunity to meet the great Tony Robbins.

Unleashing My Personal Power
In 1992, our company received free tickets to Tony’s “Unleash The Power Within” conference. This event marked the beginning of my transformation. I started to transform my mind, as I realized the greatness within me. Just two months later, I started a limousine service business by purchasing my first limousine. By 1996, I had received the Entrepreneur of the Year award and became the largest female limousine operator in Toronto, Canada. But my ambitions continued to grow.
Myrna Young Entrepreneur
Every year, I attended the Limousine Convention in Las Vegas, where I saw other operators purchasing dozens of limousines at a time. One operator had 250 limousines, and I aspired to achieve the same. I began dreaming and working towards the goal of becoming a United States citizen.
In January 2000, I packed my bags, sold my house, and moved to Miami, Florida, to start my international limousine business. However, to become an American citizen, I needed to find someone to love and marry me. It took three marriages before I found the right partner. In 2006, I married the love of my life, and in 2012, I achieved my dream of becoming an American citizen. I share this powerful journey in my book *Out of the Snares: A Story of Hope and Encouragement*.
Then, God revealed my true purpose: to become a life coach with the “Transform Your Mind” message. As the Bible teaches, “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”

Where Ever You Are Today: You Drove There
Where ever you are today, you drove here. Here is some wisdom from Myrna Young, Life Coach. The choices you made yesterday is the reality you live today.
There was this young girl who was super intelligent for B+ grades in school without even trying. She lived in a third world country that followed the English system of Education. Children had to prove they were worthy of a high school education. The system allowed for you to go to grade 6 without special skills but if you wanted to graduate grade 12 you had to pass formal exams similar to the FCATT but the Oxford, England version.
This young girl was so bright that she passed the first exam at 11 with good enough grades to go the second best school in the country. Then at 16 in grade 10 her teachers suggested she take some subjects of the GCE o’levels to practice because she had until she was 18 to get it right so she took 3 subjects and passed all three. At 17 she took another 3 subjects and passed all three again. Since the object of going to school was to study for these exams and she had gotten the recommended 6 subjects, her guidance councillor at school subjected she look for a job.
Life School: How to Succeed
Her job search went like this. The teacher told her to go talk to a friend of hers and this person will give her a job. So she did and got a job as a payroll clerk at the Ministry of Health. Her job was to pay the Doctors who worked at the hospital.
Let me check in with you the reader. No bad decisions yet, life seems pretty good for this young lady. Everything seems to come easily and effortlessly for her.
Now most students who excelled in school wants to go on to higher education and get a degree and a career of some sort. This young lady made the decision that she was going to get married and be a house wife so going to University was a waste of time. At 17 she immigrated to Canada and after such jobs as a cleaning lady and factory worker sewing on zips she landed a good job as a teller at a bank. She married her high school sweetheart, had a baby, got divorced. All before she was 22. Then she started dating a much older man and he encouraged her to go to college and get some career skills. She applied to the government program of adult education, passed the aptitude test and the government paid for an accelerated Associated Degree program to learn about Micro Computers and their applications.
Immigration to Canada: A New Career for Myrna Young Life Coach
Towards the end of the program, the instructor had one of the graduates who was successful come to speak to the graduating class. This graduate had taken his skills to sales and was earning a 6 figure income; this motivated this young lady to also try sales when she graduated from the program. Again life was easy and effortless. She got a sales job selling computers even before she graduated. That was the start of her very successful sales and entrepreneurship career but today a position in management in Corporate America has eluded her. Managers need at least a Bachelors degree. So her decision not to go to University was a bad one since she had the brains to do well.
We are trending towards the age of the knowledge worker. We have passed the Blue Collar Worker and the Industrial Worker. The Knowledge worker, Technicians, Managers, experts in marketing etc is the trend. A formal education is a must! Even if you get a degree as a youth, that learning is not going to take you to your mid life and that is why Adult Education is booming.
The current theory is that every 10 years what you know today will become obsolete. Planning with the help of a coach is very wise.
