The Role of Circadian Rhythms in Your Longevity health plan

Our bodies are intricately tuned to natural cycles, the most foundational of which is the circadian rhythm. Dr. Balduzzi explains the profound impact of sunlight in regulating essential hormones that dictate not only our sleep but our mood and physical health. Morning exposure to sunlight triggers serotonin release, enhancing mood and preparing the body for melatonin production at night, which aids sleep and cellular restoration.

As individuals over 40 face changes in sleep patterns, notably during menopause for women, understanding and respecting our hormonal cycles becomes even more critical. Exposure to bright screens in the evening can disrupt melatonin release, underscoring the need for practices such as limiting screen time and exploring supplemental aids like melatonin and magnesium for better sleep.

Additionally, embracing routines that sync with the sun’s rise and set – getting morning light and dimming household lights in the evening – can help recalibrate our natural clock. For those without access to ample sunlight, alternative solutions like using seasonal light therapy lamps can provide similar benefits and a must in your, longevity health plan.

Nutrition and Exercise: Building Blocks for Longevity

The discussion shifts to nutrition and exercise, where Dr. Balduzzi breaks down a holistic approach to eating and working out for the 40-plus demographic. High-quality protein sources, healthy fats, and ample hydration are emphasized, with recommendations to veer away from high-carb diets and rather focus on life-giving “life foods”. For women, looking for a, longevity health plan, eating a high protein diets is especially crucial during menopause to maintain muscle mass and stabilize metabolic rates.

Strength training emerges as a non-negotiable component for both men and women in their, longevity health plan.  Echoing the sentiments found in Dr. Peter Attia’s book “Outlive“, Dr. Balduzzi asserts that strength training not only conditions muscles but also activates, longevity genes, and improves metabolic and cognitive functions. Men, specifically, can benefit from strength training to help combat the natural decline of testosterone that bears significant influence on bone density, muscle mass, and overall vitality.

Mind, Body, and Spirit: A Triangular Approach to Aging

Lastly, the conversation touches the soul of why nurturing the mind, body, and spirit nexus is the ultimate key to thriving past 40. Dr. Balduzzi underlines the necessity of deep reflection on personal values and motivations, constructing a mission statement that connects health to life’s bigger picture.

Whether it’s safeguarding time with family or adhering to a faith-informed conviction to honor one’s body as a temple, establishing the ‘why’ behind health choices ensures sustainability. Programs like the Fit Father and Fit Mother empower individuals to form a supportive community, precisely tapping into group strength in their, longevity health plan. Echoed by Myrna’s personal insights, this underscores the fact that we don’t merely seek to extend years in life, but to infuse life into those years in the company of loved ones.

The aphorism “health is wealth” takes on a profound hue when cast against the backdrop of legacy, companionship, and the sanctity of our fleeting human experience.

By aligning lifestyle choices with natural laws, empowering ourselves with knowledge, and fortifying our internal fuel through community and spiritual practices, transcending the age of 40 can be a rich passage. It’s about redefining the parameters of health through a wise and heart-centric lens, advocating a preventive stance against the ailments of age that may separate us too soon from those we cherish most.

How to find your life purpose

In this conversation, we’re going to explore the truth about finding your life purpose, and how to overcome any fears or doubts you may have. Back in 2000 God spoke to me and told me to Go that the USA is my, promised land, my land of milk and honey that I should leave my home in Toronto, Canada, my family, friends and Go.

He told me to go and he will show me the way when I get there. So, I packed my bags and moved to Florida and God did as he promised. He showed me the way. He ordered my footsteps. I just followed my intuition and looked for guidance. God said if you GO, I will make you a great nation, and I will make your name great. Today my podcast and my name Coach Myrna, is great, it is heard in 156 countries around the world. Don’t wait any longer, listen to this podcast  and find out how to find your, life purpose.

Synchronicity and purpose

The first thing I did when I got to Florida was to look for an office for my limousine service business. I found an office for my business, but it did not come with parking for a stretch limousine. I couldn’t find a place to park my limousine, so I had the brilliant idea to park it in a church parking lot. My reasoning was that church is only on a Sunday! they are not there during the week.

I promptly received a call from the Senior Pastor who told me if I wanted to park my limousine in the church parking lot, I should write a proposal of what I intended to offer in exchange. When I went to the church to drop off my proposal, I met the pastor who invited me to church.  That started my relationship with Living Word Fellowship church, a relationship that was instrumental in the success of both me and my daughter, who was 11 years old at the time. That was God showing me the way, that was synchronicity.

I just kept moving forward only seeing the next step and never the entire staircase.

My life purpose was to become a Life coach and reach the world

Then God told me Go become a Life coach, I listened and that was also God ordering my steps because the month I graduated from Life coach school with my coaching certificate, was the same month I got fired from my corporate job. I became a self-employed Life coach and again God showed me the way. Someone invited me to be a guest on a radio show, and the radio station WDJY 99.1 FM Atlanta, offered me my own show. Then I heard about podcasting and stared a podcast then I received an email invitation for a TV show on PTWWNTV.

None of this was shown to me when I packed up and left Toronto. God said GO and I went.

Each step along the way God tested me by seeing if I was willing to do the work, he had to see what I was willing to sacrifice. I had to go through the wilderness. God said before I give you a lot, I have to see what you do with a little.

Go: God will show you the way

I remember when I was so broke and had no money for food or gas. I had worked all week and didn’t make a sale, so I didn’t get paid. God said GO to the ATM. I didn’t think I had any money in the bank, but I went and found I had $40 in my account. Don’t even know where it came from. I was ecstatic.

My life continued to be filled with favor and synchronicity.

I shared my story to encourage you to Go: God will show you the way. Pick up a copy of my book Out of the Snares a story of hope and encouragement and see how God showed me the way.

I believe that I was born to bring light to others, that’s my Life purpose

What’s your purpose?

We see things not as they are but as we are.

You have to believe in the promise. God said I know the plans I have for you plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

If you don’t believe in the word or the spirit what God said about you, then you will Never receive the promise.

Have faith believe in the promise

For example, You have to believe in the word, the gesture and the spirit that God will turn every weapon formed against you for your good.

Everything God is going to do for you is already set aside, but sometimes he takes you the long way. The Israelites wandered in the wilderness for 40 years, that was not the direct route. Just keep asking yourself, what is my purpose.

Just Go,  and he will show you the way.

Elijah prays for rain

In this passage in the bible. Elijah climbed to the top of Mount Carmel and bowed low to the ground and prayed with his face between his knees and prayed to God to end the 3.5-year drought. He kept praying until God showed him in the spirit that the rain was. So he didn’t stop praying until Ahab told him he saw a small cloud because God showed him in his spirit that he was going to send the rain, so Elijah kept praying until he was able to birth what God showed him in the spirit.

He kept looking for the rain. He had his expectors on because he knew the rain was coming. Seven times he sent his servant Ahad to look for rain.

Finally, the seventh time, his servant told him, “I saw a little rain cloud about the size of a man’s hand rising from the sea.”

Then Elijah shouted, “Hurry to Ahab and tell him, ‘Climb into your chariot and go back home. If you don’t hurry, the rain will stop you!’”

This is what faith looks like. Faith is expecting to see in the flesh what God showed you in the spirit

A small cloud was all the confirmation Elijah needed. He started preparing for the rain. God empowered him to run so he could beat the rain, so Elijah started running.

Running in the rain

As a child one of my favorite things to do was run in the rain. I always loved the rain. I was born in the rain.

Rain is a blessing. Life on earth could not happen without the rain. When you see the rain don’t run from it, run in it. Walk in it.

How about when you see the rain coming. Welcome the rain. don’t complain that rain is coming.

The pandemic brought with it the drought of many things. What are you praying for today? What are you trying to birth? What did God show you in your dreams that you are expecting to show up in the flesh?

  • Is it the droughts of loneliness
  • Is it a financial drought

God gives you strength to hold on until the rain comes

Elijah sounded the alarm that the rain was coming and soon the sky was black with clouds. A heavy wind brought a terrific rainstorm, and Ahab left quickly for Jezreel. Then the Lord gave special strength to Elijah. He tucked his cloak into his belt and ran ahead of Ahab’s chariot all the way to the entrance of Jezreel.

God will give you special strength to hold on until the rain comes.

Whatever you are lacking do not give up, do like Elijah put your head between your knees and pray until you see it manifest. Your drought will soon be over. The rain may not come today or tomorrow or even next year but keep looking and expecting it will come, it always does and one day you will run in the rain.

Key Takeaways:

  • Authenticity is about being true to yourself and not trying to be someone or something you’re not. It’s about embracing your individuality and expressing your true self without fear or judgment.

  • Impostor syndrome often stems from societal pressures and influences that make us feel like we’re not enough. It’s important to recognize when we’re trying to be impostors and instead choose to be our authentic selves.

  • Being in tune with our feelings can help us identify when we’re not being authentic. If something doesn’t feel right or makes us uncomfortable, it’s a sign that we may need to make a change and align with our true selves.

  • Authenticity is a journey, not a destination. It requires consistent self-reflection, self-discovery, and self-expression. It’s about unbecoming everything that isn’t truly you and embracing who you were meant to be.

  • Living authentically creates a space for true love, connection, and authenticity to flourish. It allows us to be closer to the people we love and creates new possibilities for growth and fulfillment.

Being Authentic in a World of Imposters

In a world that constantly bombards us with images of perfection and societal expectations, it can be challenging to stay true to ourselves. However, author Jamaal Wesley reminds us in his book, “Authentically Authentic: It’s a Journey Not a Destination,” that embracing our authenticity is the key to living a fulfilling and meaningful life. Wesley emphasizes the importance of being true to ourselves and not succumbing to the pressures of conforming to societal norms or imitating others.

One of the main obstacles to authenticity is impostor syndrome. Wesley explains that impostor syndrome arises when we try to be someone we’re not, whether it’s at work, in relationships, or in social settings. We may feel the need to present a certain image or meet certain expectations, but deep down, we know that it’s not who we truly are. This disconnect between our authentic selves and the personas we project can lead to feelings of inadequacy, anxiety, and a lack of fulfillment.

The Journey of Self-Discovery and Acceptance

Wesley’s book serves as a guide for those seeking to embark on a journey of self-discovery and acceptance. He shares his own experiences and insights, encouraging readers to embrace their true selves without fear or judgment. Through heartfelt storytelling and practical advice, Wesley provides a roadmap for battling impostor syndrome and the challenges that arise on the path of self-expression and identity.

One of the key aspects of embracing authenticity is being in tune with our feelings. Wesley highlights the importance of paying attention to how we feel when we’re about to exhibit impostorism. If we feel uncomfortable, out of place, or have a sinking feeling in our stomachs, it’s a clear indication that we’re not being true to ourselves. By acknowledging these feelings and being honest with ourselves, we can begin to make choices that align with our authentic selves.

Transform Your Mind Podcast Player FM
Transform Your Mind Podcast Player FM

Unbecoming to Become Authentic: Letting Go of Traumas and Conditioning

Wesley’s book also delves into the concept of unbecoming everything that isn’t truly us. From the moment we’re born, we’re born into a set of conversations and societal conditioning that may not align with our authentic selves. However, life experiences and traumas can further cover up our true identities, leading us to live inauthentically.

To truly embrace authenticity, Wesley encourages readers to let go of past traumas and conditioning. This process of unbecoming allows us to shed the layers that have been imposed upon us and rediscover who we truly are. By doing so, we create a space for true love, connection, and authenticity to flourish.

Embracing Authenticity in Relationships

Living authentically not only benefits ourselves but also has a profound impact on our relationships. When we show up as our authentic selves, we create a safe space for others to do the same. Wesley emphasizes that authenticity fosters deeper connections and allows for a new world of possibility to emerge.

In the realm of dating, authenticity is particularly crucial. Many people try to present themselves in a way they think will be attractive to others, but this often leads to disappointment and a lack of genuine connection. Wesley’s book reminds us that the most attractive version of ourselves is when we are being our authentic selves. By embracing our true identities, we attract those who appreciate and love us for who we truly are.

Embrace Your Authenticity and Create an Amazing Tomorrow

In conclusion, embracing authenticity is a lifelong journey of self-discovery, acceptance, and growth. It requires us to be in tune with our feelings, let go of past traumas and conditioning, and make choices that align with our true selves. By living authentically, we not only find fulfillment and happiness within ourselves but also create deeper connections and a more authentic world.

As Jamaal Wesley beautifully puts it, “Discover who you are, discover who you want to be, and create an amazing tomorrow.” Embrace your authenticity and let your true self shine.

The Interplay of Vibrational Energy and Mental Health

Dr. Macklin emphasizes that everything in our existence resonates with vibrational energy. This energy is at the core of our being and influences our mental and emotional health. He suggests that low vibrational states can allow for the attachment of negative energetic entities, which can result in feelings of anxiety, depression, or even contribute to more severe mental health conditions.

“When your vibration drops… there are things called entities. They attach to you… they’re low vibrational beings, but they also have a very powerful mind. They can send you negative thoughts.”

The suggestion is to transcend these low vibrations by focusing on positive thoughts, gratitude, and connecting with higher, more benevolent energies. By maintaining a higher state of vibration, individuals can not only improve their own well-being but also contribute positively to the collective consciousness.

Vibrational Protection and Healing Strategies

The conversation introduces the idea that specific prayers and spiritual affirmations can create a protective shield around an individual. For instance, the “27 Esoteric Merkaba Field Prayer” which Dr. Macklin mentions, is designed to safeguard one from lower vibrations and attachments by encasing them in a vibrational field. Additionally, the practical act of policing one’s thoughts—converting negative into positive—is proposed as a daily practice to maintain emotional equilibrium.

“So once you’ve removed [negative entities], a very important thing is the power of prayer… If you do that three times a day, it will keep them out.”

Reimagining Mental Health Disorders Through a Spiritual Lens

Dr. Macklin offers a striking reinterpretation of various, mental health, disorders by associating them with vibrational and spiritual disturbances. For example, schizophrenia, often viewed from a purely clinical lens, is posited as a form of spiritual communication—if misguided. Realigning such communications from lower-frequency entities to higher angelic beings could potentially transform the condition into a positive experience.

“These [schizophrenic] people are very gifted… once you’ve taught them how to navigate it, they get off the pills. They do some amazing things.”

Gratitude as a Transformational Mental Health Tool

Dr. Macklin coins the importance of gratitude in altering one’s life circumstances. He shares a narrative where acknowledging blessings, instead of focusing on a shortfall (a broken bed in this case), led to the unexpected manifestation of a new bed. It’s a lesson in focusing on what one has, rather than what is lacking. The law of attraction, thus, becomes a vital cog in this perspective shift.

“I want you to thank God for the blessing of the food on table… She phoned the radio station four days late… ‘The charity came and they gave me a new bed out of the blue.'”

The Fluctuating Nature of Collective Consciousness

The mental health crisis, emphasized by the global pandemic, had profound effects on the collective consciousness. As individuals grapple with increased awareness of systemic issues, their emotional turmoil compounds the collective energetic field, leading to widespread impacts on societal mental health. Dr. Macklin prescribes focused spiritual practices, such as meditation and energy clearing prayers, to individually and collectively shepherd consciousness towards a healthier state.

“What’s happened is that it’s coming to the forefront now… we have a prayer to remove it, because us individual human beings, it’s really not our job to transmute that collective consciousness.”

Unleashing the Power of Hunger

In today’s competitive business landscape, one quality that can make a significant difference is hunger. Not the hunger for food, but the hunger for success and achievement.

As stated in Proverbs 16:26, “It is good for workers to have an appetite; an empty stomach drives them on.”

This hunger, this burning desire for success, can be the driving force that sets individuals apart and propels them to achieve what others may only dream of.

Les Brown, a renowned motivational speaker, famously said, “You’ve got to be hungry.” This hunger for success is what separates those who are willing to do what others won’t. It is this hunger that pushes individuals to go above and beyond, to work harder, and to continuously strive for excellence. When hiring employees, it is essential to look for this hunger, as it can be a game-changer for your organization.

Unmatched Motivation

Hungry employees have an unmatched motivation that sets them apart from others. They are driven by an insatiable desire to prove themselves and make a mark. This motivation stems from their need to succeed, to provide for their families, and to fulfill their dreams. This hunger for success leads to increased productivity, innovation, and a relentless pursuit of excellence. Hungry individuals are willing to go the extra mile, to put in the extra effort, and to do whatever it takes to achieve their goals.

Adaptability and Resilience

Hungry individuals are more likely to embrace change and adapt to evolving circumstances. Their hunger for success propels them to seek out new skills and knowledge, making them valuable assets in the dynamic work environment. They are not afraid to step out of their comfort zones and take on new challenges. This adaptability allows them to thrive in an ever-changing world and seize opportunities that others might overlook.

Furthermore, hungry employees exhibit resilience in the face of challenges. Their determination to succeed fuels their ability to overcome obstacles and turn setbacks into opportunities for growth. They understand that success requires perseverance and that they cannot let little things like rude comments or setbacks derail their goals. Hungry people operate from their hearts with unshakeable faith, allowing them to stay focused on their dreams and overcome any obstacles that come their way.

Their self-motivation and drive lead to increased efficiency and the ability to seize opportunities that others might overlook. When you’re hungry, you must create opportunities where others do not see them. The hunger in your belly enables vision and allows you to think outside the box.

The hunger for success often goes hand in hand with a creative mindset. Hungry employees are more likely to think outside the box, bringing fresh ideas and innovative solutions to the table. Their hunger pushes them to constantly seek improvement and find new ways to do things better. This hunger for innovation can drive your organization to stay ahead of the curve and remain competitive in a rapidly changing world.

How to Find the Right Group if you are an Introvert

Myrna – When you decided that because you were an, introvert, you were  going to change your circle of friends because the friends  you were hanging around with were not conducive to you in becoming a social person. How did you find the right group?

Okay, I don’t want people to think that I just completely abandoned everyone I knew or say I’m not talking to my old friends,  I still kept in touch with everybody; but I tried to shift my focus more towards people that I thought would be of help to my course to become a networking, introvert.

I looked for groups of people that I thought would be good to be around them. I would find that they have to meetup groups. I would go to these meet up groups and introduce myself to some people. Everybody takes a little time to be comfortable around people, just like relationships they take a little time to build; but it starts off by you initially showing up and just being around and people starting to recognize you.

Myrna – I used to go sit in expensive hotel lobbies for a different reason, not for, networking,  but that is a good way to, network, with the rich.  I did it to get comfortable with wealth.  You were doing it to build a network with influential people, which is good too.

What inspired you to write the book An Introverts Guide ?

After I figured out how to, network, as an, introvert, by the way  I am still an, introvert. I still like to spend a lot of time alone. I recharge myself; but then when I do network, I want to go out and be seen and be heard. I’m able to do that; but once I learned how to do this then, I was often invited to do some speaking about it.  I would go to speaking events and  people would ask me  where can we get your book, and I would say I don’t have a book!  I told myself, should probably write  a book.

I realized there’s a lot of, introverts,  who would get a lot out of a book about how to network as an, introvert, so I sat down and starting writing a book. I knew exactly what I wanted to say.  I wanted to help, introverts, who were in similar situations be able to have the steps that they needed to upgrade their lifestyles and really enhance their experience, networking.

I think everything in life comes down to your connections and your relationships and if you can have better connected relationships, it makes the life of the, introvert, so much richer.  You don’t  even have to be, networking, with  billionaires on yachts; it can just be with your own family and close friends or people in the community.

Myrna – One of the questions that popped into my mind as you were talking about speaking and meet-up groups was, did you join toastmasters?

I did go to toastmasters because everybody says,  you have to go to toastmasters.  I went to toastmasters but; I didn’t really like toastmasters.  Everybody said to me what are you talking about, you have to like toastmasters,  everybody likes toastmasters;  but I don’t know it didn’t do it for me.

I know a lot of people say well if you’re shy and, introverted, and socially awkward;  how can you do public speaking?  I think I have some kind of weird defect in my brain that allows me to think whenever I do public speaking, I go into a dreamlike trance.  We can do anything in our dreams, you’re not a body.

If you just say go talk to those four people over there then I become an, introvert;  but if you say there’s a hundred people go talk to them that’s fine, I become an, extrovert.

Myrna – You’re kidding that that’s weird wiring;  but you know it’s not that I haven’t heard it before.   It is probably a good time to have a definition of an, introvert, and how that is different from, extrovert. How does someone know if they’re an, extrovert, or, introvert?  We can figure out that if you are shy you may be an, introvert but I am sure there is more.

Define an introvert and the different levels

There are some people that are more, introverted, than others and there’s different categories.  I’d say generally you are an, introvert, if you get drained by being out and interacting with people and have to recharge by being yourself.

I fit that category, that’s the classic, introvert. You can also be shy and that doesn’t necessarily make you an, introvert.  I suffered from being shy and being drained by being around people plus the social awkwardness.  I did’t know what to do and how to even interact with people,  so there’s different combinations of, introversion,  and there’s different levels.

One of my closest friends who has had great success with some of the techniques I teach in my book, always makes fun of me; because he always tries to compare himself saying, I’m way more, introverted, than you.  I tell him this isn’t a competition.

I say that to say there’s different levels for the, introvert; so there’s different things that different obstacles that, introverts, have to deal with.  An obstacle for me might not be an obstacle for my friend.  I mentioned the different types of, introverts, the steps in my book is able to help the whole spectrum of, introverts.

Everything is for everybody; but I say at the beginning of the book pick out the parts that apply to you that you can use and then what’s not helpful right now just file it away and then maybe later once you hit a certain level maybe that’s going to come in handy at a later time.

How can your Book Help Introverts

Myrna– Your book is called “An introvert’s guide to world domination: become a high level networking and upgrade your life.”  So what can someone walk away with after reading your book?  What are the skills that you want transferred?

I love that question that was really good,

  1. They are going to be able to know what their obstacles are.
  2. What their blocks are
  3. Identify those blocks so then they can get those out of the way
  4. Then they’re going to be able to find social events that appeal to them that can help them achieve whatever goals they desire.

What are the networking steps covered in your book?

We find out what sort of networking, introverts, should you be doing; so we cover the personal, networking, and then I  also teach about, networking, in the  workplace and at social events.  Depending on what your goal is, you’ll have clear steps on what to do in your personal social life, in the workplace and in, networking, events  to level up in all of those areas.

You’ll know exactly what to do and say if you go to  the company holiday party or if you’re just going to hang out, or you take your kid to soccer practice and there’s going to be a bunch of parents there.

  • You’ll know exactly what you need to do to be interesting and interested and engage in conversation
  • How to have good body language and appear confident, calm and approachable.
  • Show good energy, so you’ll be able to also maintain your relationship
  • Know where to go, what to do, when you get there who to talk to
  • What to say and how to talk to people once you’ve established a relationship
  • How to maintain those relationships; because why build all these relationships if you’re not going to maintain them.

Introverts, will have this whole spectrum of, networking, obstacles; so all they have to do is just work the steps.  I break it down really easy; I put little things in there to make sure that, introverts,  keep pushing forward. introverts,  will be able to go out and put these steps into practice immediately, the very first day even before they finish the book.

What is the definition of a social introvert?

A social, introvert, is somebody who doesn’t like talking to people and is uncomfortable in social situations.  That was my biggest challenge as an, introvert, and that’s why I concentrated my book on, networking; even though I think that there are some other areas being an, introvert, would have challenges with.

So there are social, introverts, who aren’t really good around people and they don’t want to be, they want to have nothing to do with, networking, so they’d just rather maybe stay in the science lab or stay in the basement playing video games. This book is not for this type, these steps are for the, introvert,  who says, hey I would like to be able to do that, I just don’t know how.

Helping Introverts Lead Regular Lives

I want to help, introverts,  feel more confident just day to day in their regular life.  Just  going to the grocery store or if you live in an apartment building and your neighbors are out on their balcony and you think well I can’t go out on my balcony; because they’re there maybe I should wait until they go inside.

Or when it comes to your work place or when it comes to just any relationships, introverts, have an understanding of what being an, introvert, is really costing them.  It’s costing them much more than you can possibly imagine, and it’s all these little micro instances of hiding.  If, introverts, can just take that little extra step to not hide,  it can completely change their life and lifestyle.

Myrna – I can imagine that an, introvert, is somebody who is a pleaser, because they don’t want to make a fuss right, they don’t want confrontation, they don’t want to challenge whatsoever.

Is the pandemic good or bad for the introvert?

All the, networking, in person situations are no longer an issue and we’re like talking on zoom and we’re in our bedroom and in our house and we don’t have to go out; so is an, introvert’s, heaven.  The pandemic is this helping them stay hidden we, introverts,  think this is the best time to be alive ever in the history!  It gives the, introvert, the excuse to say,  hey I would love to be out socializing and hobnobbing with everybody; but I’m locked down.

What can introverts do to make the most of this pandemic situation?

One of the things the, introvert, can do during the pandemic is to strengthen the relationships you already have.  COVID  gives you a perfect excuse to go through your work email and your personal email of all your contacts and see who you haven’t touched base within say three months.  Make a list of those people and then every day just contact a few and just say, hey how are you doing during COVID?

MyrnaI’m going to borrow that to touch base with my real estate clients and just keep up the, networking, because a great strategy for realtors whether they are, introverts, or not to keep, networking, during the pandemic.

How to build your network as an Introvert

If you want to become a high-level networker, or upgrade your life both, introverts, and, extroverts, can be a high-level networker.  I’ve had a lot of students who are realtors and they are not, introverts, but they just wanted an edge over their competition and so they used some of these techniques,

Are All Sociopaths Predators? The Jeffrey Epstein Story

Sociopaths have no ability whatsoever to feel shame, guilt, or remorse. One in twenty-five Americans, are secretly, sociopaths and so we have Jeffrey Epstein.

There are some subjects that fascinate me and one of them are, sociopaths.

This fascination began when I read the book the “Psychopath Next Door.”

This story was about a man who selected this woman because of her vulnerability.

Sociopaths, always chose their victims.

He actually knocked on her door one day and began a friendship with her, then he got her to move away from her friends and family to this remote house in England.

Sociopaths,  always want to get you away from your friends and family because friends and family strengthen us. Jeffrey Epstein, had his island in the Virgin Islands

The definition of a Sociopath

This house in England was a beautiful large Victorian home. This man let’s call him Jim told this that  he inherited this property and had her suggest that they modernize the house with her money.

Later in the story after she had escaped with her life, she found out that the property was rented, it was a con to get her money.

Sociopaths, are liars.

Then Jim started abusing her, verbally and emotionally, then physically. He told her if she ever left him he would kill her. Every time she attempted to leave, he would find her and punish her. Finally in desperation she walked for miles in the freezing cold one night to someone’s home and hid there.

Sociopaths, keep you in control with abuse. Remember the Robert R Kelly documentary? All the women said that he controlled them with physical abuse and punishment like starvation when they disobeyed his orders. Like going to the bathroom without getting permission

Like I said, this story imprinted on my mind and since then I have been able to spot, sociopaths. Almost all of them are good looking and charming and they use this asset to reel in their victims.

Jeffrey Epstein, was also good looking and charming and was able to charm his way into getting jobs as a teacher and securities broker without having any of the necessary paperwork, because he dropped out of college.

Sociopaths vs Phychopaths

As a, sexual predator, they use this good looking charm to make women fall for them and after they get them emotionally tied, they switch from charming to becoming a monster.

Sociopaths, are also narcissistic. They can feel no emotions so they do unconscionable things without batting an eyelid.

Jeffrey Epstein, sexually abused hundreds of children for decades by luring them with $200. He knew that to a 14 year old $200 was a lot of money. If he ordered a call girl or prostitute the price for a massage and sex would be $2000 not $200; but then of course they wouldn’t turn him on. Only young girls turned him on.

What is the difference between, sociopaths vs psychopaths? Sociopaths and psychopaths  are usually dishonest. In my story Jim swindled over a $100,000 from his victim to modernize a house that he didn’t own.

Jeffrey Epstein, was also a thief. He stole $46 M from one of his employers and was fired from another for stealing.

So to answer the question are all,  sociopaths, predators? I would say yes,  Sociopaths,  are always looking for their next victim. They may not be ALL in like, Jeffrey Epstein, and, Robert R Kelly; but they are, sexual  predators, who charm women, men and children out of whatever their prize is. There are, sociopaths, scamming old people out of their last dollar and have no remorse that these seniors have no funds left to live out their lives

The Sociopath next door

We are accustomed to think of, sociopaths, as violent criminals, but in The Sociopath Next Door, Harvard psychologist Martha Stout reveals that a shocking 4 percent of ordinary people—one in twenty-five—has an often undetected mental disorder, the chief symptom of which is that that person possesses no conscience. He or she has no ability whatsoever to feel shame, guilt, or remorse. One in twenty-five everyday Americans, therefore, is secretly a, sociopath. They could be your colleague, your neighbor, even family. And they can do literally anything at all and feel absolutely no guilt.

How do we recognize the remorseless? One of their chief characteristics is a kind of glow or charisma that makes, sociopaths, more charming or interesting than the other people around them. They’re more spontaneous, more intense, more complex, or even sexier than everyone else, making them tricky to identify and leaving us easily seduced. Fundamentally, sociopaths, are different because they cannot love. Sociopaths, learn early on to show sham emotion, but underneath they are indifferent to others’ suffering. They live to dominate and thrill to win.

The fact is, we all almost certainly know at least one or more, sociopaths already. Part of the urgency in reading The Sociopath Next Door is the moment when we suddenly recognize that someone we know—someone we worked for, or were involved with, or voted for—is a, sociopath. But what do we do with that knowledge? To arm us against the sociopath, Dr. Stout teaches us to question authority, suspect flattery, and beware the pity play. Above all, she writes, when a sociopath, is beckoning, do not join the game.

What is the difference between a, Sociopath, and a Psychopath?

I don’t use either term, you’re speaking about an, antisocial personality disorder.   Several people in our lifetime like Jeffrey Dahmer’s and other individuals like, Jeffrey Epstein,  can be diagnosed with, antisocial personality disorder.  The reason why I use that term,  a psychological perspective and diagnostic criteria is attached to that term.

There are seven diagnostic criteria that we would use in order to diagnose someone exhibiting, sociopath, behavior:

  • One there’s a pervasive pattern as well as a disregard for and violation of the rights of others. This behavior starts occurring usually at the age of 15 years old.
  • Failure to conform to social norms with respect to lawful behaviors as indicated by repeatedly performing acts that are grounds for arrest, as we saw with both, Jeffrey Epstein, and Robert R Kelly.
  • Deceitfulness very much so. Very easy for, sociopaths, to be deceitful.  Jeffrey Epstein scammed  a gentleman that he worked for out of millions of dollars.  He taught in a  school without the proper credentials.  He said he  went to certain schools and never attended the schools.
  • Repeated lying, some of these men even use aliases.  They scam others for their own profit.  Their personal profit and pleasure.
  • Impulsivity or failure to plan ahead.
  • Irritability and aggressiveness as indicated by repeated fights or assaults
  • Reckless regard for safety of self and others. Consistent irresponsibility as indicated by repeated failure to sustain consistent work, behavior or honor financial obligations.
  • Lack of remorse, indicated by being indifferent and to or rationalizing having hurt mistreated or stolen from another individual.

Are Sociopaths Narcissists?

Sociopaths are narcissists because they have no conscience, the barometer to tell you when you are doing wrong. I can imagine it may be a struggle for some, sociopaths,  so that’s when they become, sexual predators. The sexual part of it with the, sexual predators,  become hard to control. It becomes an addiction.

I was actually very surprised when, Jeffrey Epstein,  did go to prison the first time for 18 months and he got himself out on a work permit, that he was still continued bringing women in to his office to have sex. The same behavior he was in prison for, he continued doing!

Ted Bundy did the same thing.  They incarcerated him and he escaped twice and continued the same behavior.  He continued the same exact behavior with those women, killing and murdering and having sexual encounters with them.

That’s part of the impulsive label.  I personally think that the reason, Jeffrey Epstein, did not stop or had no remorse is because he was wealthy. He didn’t care about these women, he just cared about himself and his sexual desires. They called him, sociopath narcissist, you can call it, antisocial personality disorder,  all these different labels; but he knew what he was doing was wrong and he thought that he could buy his way out, and he did for quiet some time.

I was quite impressed that the first time, Jeffrey Epstein, was on trial, he had eight lawyers,  a team of eight lawyers! I am sure that cost him millions; but Robert R Kelly was poor.  I mean he couldn’t even afford a proper lawyer so he’s still in prison.

How are sexual predators created?

What is the, test for a, sociopath? Well that’s a good intro to the, sociopaths vs Psychopaths,  and your  definition of,  anti-social Personality disorder.  How does that lead them to become, sexual predators?

I’m not just talking about, sexual predators, but the , sociopath narcissistic, piece where they have no conscience don’t care about their victims, just into your fulfilling of their desires.  You mentioned Jeffrey Dahmer and you talked about Ted Bundy.  I’m assuming that you put them in this in this conversation, because they’ve also been diagnosed with, antisocial personality disorder, commonly called, sociopath.

These are mental health issues probably passed on from parents and grandparents. Some, sociopaths, develop after being abused as children.  Robert R Kelly was raped as a child by his aunt.

How would the women look for, sociopaths, out to take advantage of them?

  • Firstly, they don’t want to trust. You want to be more cognizant of who you’re trusting.
  • We want to be aware of someone asking you about your life in terms of your financial abilities.
  • You want to be more cognizant to the fact of strange men visiting your home.  Limit the frequency that they visit or stay in your home.  Visit their dwelling to see where they live.
  • See what their lifestyle is.  Talk to their family members don’t even allow them to come to your home for at least 90 days after you meet them.

How a sexual predator chooses his victims.

The, sociopath,  or the person with, antisocial personality disorder, always chooses their victims.

The documentary said that, Jeffrey Epstein, had the ability to read his victims  and offer whatever they wanted.

I have worked with families who had children that have been sexually assaulted.  In my first intake, my first conversation with the parents, I say to the parents that their child has the 50% likelihood of being sexually assaulted again because pedophiles tend to know. They can read them. They can either pick up on the fear or the vulnerability.

They choose their victims, Robert R Kelly looked for the women with weak minds. Jeffrey Epstein, looked for girls with no parental influence, were poor or needy.

Young females have to be vigilant because people will try to manipulate them and do things to them to get them to perform sex acts.  Someone gave, Jeffrey Epstein, three twelve-year-old girls as a birthday present.  You saw some of the images of some noted men today some powerful men including Prince Andrew who hung out with, Jeffrey Epstein, they partook of these young girls.  Some of them had daughters of that same age. So mothers look out for your daughters.

I tell parents it’s okay to be quote-unquote a helicopter parent.  It’s okay to not let your kids spend the night over someone’s house. It’s okay to be a hands-on face-to-face with your kid till they are at least 18 going into college.

If you value your child’s life and you do not want your child to be fractured into pieces as a result of this trauma from a, psychopath, be vigilant.  I work in the education field right now and there are people that will become educators or social workers on campuses or they’ll work with the children because they know they have access to be with them alone with children.

Why did you write the book “500 ways to black to celebrate, black love?”

For me it all started from my personal journey.  What I was personally going through in my, love story.  I was in a relationship and everything seemed right, we were very compatible.  It seemed like it was love at first sight, and then when we further got in the relationship, we discovered that we just were not meant to be together.  He was not a bad person or anything like that; but it was for someone else, it wasn’t for me and we were both totally fine ending the relationship. It was a three year journey that I spent discovering, what is, black love.

I started researching family history and I discovered things and thoughts that existed within the family passed down from my grandparents and from my parents.  One of the interesting things that I discovered about my grandmother was that for whatever reason my grandmother hated relationships.  I kind of discovered during the journey about, black love, and what to do to break your patterns,  because these patterns are cyclical and runs for generations.

I don’t know your, love story; but I know as a,  Life coach,  I know women who cycle from abusive relationships into new abusive relationships. That’s their pattern, and they keep going into those relationships. They don’t look for them,  but it just happens.  So what you’re saying is exactly what happens, we all attract the same kind of man and it’s something unconsciously that we’re doing.  You traced your pattern and you found that it came from parental influence.

The second thing I discovered when I began researching, black love,  is that the internet portrayed, black love relationships, as nonexistent. I bumped into articles such as the one in Marie Claire magazine titled “Marriages are for white people”  and then when I read the article it goes further on to explain how, marriage, isn’t for, black women!

So now I am dealing with the generational belief passed down from my parents and grandparents, then it’s the societal belief that, black women, does not deserve, love.

I also have a product that is amazing.  It’s a game with miracle berries and they’re actually from Ghana and some people have taste tripping parties.

You take these berries and they’re intact in form and then they dissolve on your tongue.  You have to let it dissolve for about 10 minutes, once it dissolves and you suck a lemon or a lime it is going to turn everything that you’re tasting, sweet.  It’s an amazing experience.

When somebody goes out and purchases your book, what do you hope that they will come away with?

I’m hoping that my readers get inspired and more empowered.  I’m hoping that it will inspire them to their own self journey to finding, black love,  and discoveries of their family history that could be blocking, black love. I want to change the narrative of, black love, and society.  I want my book to be a form of mental jogging.

How do you advise women to set their intention for, black love?

Whenever you have good intentions for being in a relationship then you will manifest those intentions. One way to set intentions is with daily affirmations. Some of these affirmations are:

  • I am loved
  • I am black and lovable
  • I am black excellence

If your intentions are that you want, love, because of loneliness,  change your intentions. Your purpose for wanting a relationship must be because you have something to give, not want. If you set your intentions in a good way then you’ll receive good results. Call, love, and it will come!

I pray that everyone every listener, every reader of my book that this will be the best year of, Black love, or any other love for them. I just want to pray that, Love, Finds them from the north, the South, the east and the West.  I just want to pray that they receive total healing.

How to Overcome Fear and Find Joy

How to overcome fear, we have to realize that fear comes from our thoughts. It is not real, it is an, energy, and thoughts are the most powerful, energy,  force in the universe.  Thoughts can be either positive or negative.
Heading up the rear of, negative thoughts, is, fear. It is the bottom feeder or all the emotions.
If you allow, fear, to linger in your body and in your mind, It will not only attract the thing you, fear, the most into your experience; but it will also bring disease to your body.
All diseases can be traced back to, negative thoughts, or, fear. Negative thoughts, transform your body into an acidic state.

Fear, is a, negative thought, magnified to the 1000th degree.

In, fear,  mode your body is activated in the fight or flight mode.
Your body tenses, your breathing is shallow, your heart palpitates, your blood pressure is elevated, your hands and body sweat.
Not a good place to dwell!
Unfortunately, your brain cannot detect the difference between your imagination and reality, so the person in the grip of fear cannot tell the difference. They cannot tell that, fear, it is “False Evidence Appearing Real.”

Using Positive Energy to banish Fear

Today I want to teach you how to use, positive energy, to clear the, negative energy, of, fear. But first I want to review one of the Spiritual Laws of the Universe.

The Law of Sowing and Reaping

We all know of the physical laws like, Gravity.
Some laws are physical and some are Spiritual and quantum.
Understanding the spiritual “Law of Sowing and reaping” can change your world.
Understanding that whatever you create it in the spiritual world of your thoughts will manifest in the physical world.

Put another way, that means whatever you plant in the fertile soil of your mind, will manifest in your physical world.
Just like planting an apple tree. Except that in the spiritual world;

The soil is your mind, The seeds are your thoughts,
The water are your actions,
And The sun is your feelings.

If you allow, fear, to dwell in your heart and mind every day you will manifest an apple orchard in your reality.

Energy flows where Attention Goes

Whatever you focus on expands.

Fear is Negative Energy

Everything is, energy, and all, energy, attracts similar energies.
You can’t put out, negative energy, and expect positive results.
You can’t plant apple trees and expect oranges.

Likewise, you can’t focus on what you, fear, and produce a successful result.
If you are constantly thinking of the things you, fear, you are planting a seed and based in the universal Law of Reaping and Sowing, it must germinate.
The mind or consciousness is connected to reality.
Think of something strong enough or long enough to and it will eventually manifest in your reality.
These are six words you must stamp on your mind

“You become what you think about”

When you realize that your mind is a garden you will begin to plant only the things you desire.

How to overcome fear

Exercise: How to overcome fear, write down something that is opposite of what you, fear, and start giving it the same attention you have been giving your, fear.
Since light conquers darkness, it will eventually have your, fear, for lunch!

  • Imagine you having fun traveling the world in crystal clear clarity.
  • Say daily affirmations that compliments your desire.
  • Visualize your goal so much that sometimes you are not sure what is imagined and what is reality;
  • the same way that you let fear take you out of reality.
  • Don’t get disappointed if it takes time to perfect this. Remember that positive things take time to manifest,
  • it is the negative ones that show up quickly.

Weeds will sprout up, negative thoughts, of failure will sprout up.
So, every morning find the weeds and dig them up.

Remember a successful gardener will always cultivate his land.

Cultivate your mind for success.
Life is energy, whatever you put out, is returned to you.
The mind does not care what seeds you plant; it will always return what you plant.
You can plant wealth or you can plant poverty.
You can plant fear or you can plant happiness.

Here is an excerpt from the book: The Wise Heart: A Guide to the Universal Teachings of Buddhist Psychology:
The Buddha faced plenty of his own fear and terror of imminent death. This is a passage from the Buddha’s early writings that Jack Kornfield, a teacher who helped introduce Buddhist mindfulness practice to the West, quotes in his book.

How would it be if in the dark of the month, with no moon, I were to enter the most strange and frightening places, near tombs and in the thick of the forest, that I might come to understand fear and terror. And doing so, a wild animal would approach or the wind rustle the leaves and I would think, “Perhaps the fear and terror now comes.” And being resolved to dispel the hold of that fear and terror, I remained in whatever posture it arose, sitting or standing, walking or lying down. I did not change until I had faced that fear and terror in that very posture, until I was free of its hold upon me … And having this thought, I did so. By facing the, fear, and terror I became free.

Do not Fear: Definition of fear

Fear – The definition of fear, is false objects appearing real, as per the about passage, can be released by standing your ground. Our instinctive reaction to, fear, is to turn and run because as humans we are hard wired to run from pain and towards pleasure. But, as the Buddha teaches in the passage above if you stand and have the courage to not move, you become free you, let go of fear, and realize that your imagination is always worse than the reality.

Let me share a personal story on how I overcame, fear and, remove negative energy from home.

When I first came to the United States of America, I came as a business owner. I did not have any of the benefits of a permanent resident. As my business was building, I decided to earn money as a sales person selling vacations. I was not authorized to work in the US, so I became very fearful of being found out and being deported. Every night I would dream that the immigration officials would come to my house and take me away in handcuffs. Sometimes I would dream that they would throw me in the back of the trunk.

One day, my pastor preached a sermon on, the fear factor. He said that God promises to carry your burdens, so give them to God. He said when you give your, fears, and heavy loads to God, you can’t worry or take them back because that would mean that you don’t have faith in God’s promise to carry them. He asked the congregation to write our, fears, and heavy burdens on a piece of paper and ceremoniously throw them at the alter giving them to God.

I wrote my, fear, of being deported on a piece of paper and threw in on the alter. In doing so, I, let go of fear, and became free because I gave it away to someone else, God. The good news is that I no longer was afraid of anything. Every time something came up that would potentially me fearful, I would face it and know that it will work out for my good. I stood on the scripture “I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you.”

Meditation to Let go of Fear

Sit quietly in a chair, be comfortable.
Place feet flat on the floor, hands clasped in your lap. Close your eyes. Be present. Focus on your breathing, feel your belly rise and fall under your clasped hands.
Breathe in for a count of 4 and breathe out for account of 6. Thus, slowing down your rhythmic cycles. Be mindful of the air as it passes through your nostrils down your esophagus and into your abdomen. If your mind wanders off bring it back gently to your breathe. Your mind can only concentrate on one thing at a time. Concentrating on your breathe bypasses your mind. Once you slow your cycles and quiet your mind, you are now in the receptive mode to change your programming.

Think briefly about something you, fear. Today we will use as our example the, fear of flying. Today we are going to use our imagination to replicate the experience of flying while you are sitting comfortably and safely in your chair.

Let’s begin. visualize you are at the airport with your loved ones, your husband and 2 children. You are on your way to Venice, Italy. You chose Venice because you wanted a romantic vacation with your husband. You can’t wait to ride on the Gondolas and be serenaded with live music, going to the opera and have the experience of taking a water taxi everywhere. You are excited. This energy is positive.

You let this feeling of euphoria wash over you, you feel your body tingle with this positive energy. You feel good!
Now you are boarding the plane, you are starting to feel a little anxious. You board the plane and find your seat, you buckle yourself in. The pilot announces that your flight time is 6 hours and that he will be flying at a cruising altitude of 35,000 feet. He advises you to give your attention the flight attendant and pay attention to the safety information. You mentally note your exits. You listen to what to do in the event of a water landing! Your mind is going nuts with fear. Your heart starts to palpitate rapidly, you start to sweat.

Now the airplane is taxing down the runway at full speed, then lifts off the ground.
You squeeze your husband’s hand, you are hardly breathing, your whole body is tight. The plane is climbing it shakes a little. You are so scared the sweat starts dripping from your forehead. The plane reaches cruising altitude, the pilot turns off the fasten seat belt sign and people start moving about the plane. You calm down a little, but still aware of every movement of the plane.

The flight attendants come around and offer beverages. You ask for a glass of wine. You drink it down in one gulp! You start to feel calmer. The flight is uneventful. After what seems like an eternity the pilot announces that in 30 minutes he will be starting his descent into Venice. Your fear returns, the plane shakes a little as it descends and you are once again in the grip of fear. The plane touches down and speeds down the runway braking speed. Your body is tight, your breathing shallow. Then it is all over. You faced your fear and came out on the other side! You exit the plane and you are in Venice!

I want you now to realize that you have taken your first flight in your mind.
I want you to realize that fear is false evidence appearing real.
I want you to realize that once you face your fear, like a bully, it backs down.
I want you to realize that the energy of fear is keeping you stuck.
I want you to realize that whatever your fear, just like we took a ride on an airplane and came out alive on the other side that is how all fear works. It has no real power over you. The only thing that is holding you back from doing the things you want to do is all in your mind. So, the only way the clear it is to start with the mind. Do a dress rehearsal in the mind and then do it in the physical.

How to overcome fear:  Face Your fear.

Face your fear. The second step is to clear it from the place it is planted in your mind. Take a moment now to ask your higher self where the fear of flying came from. When was the fear planted? When you get the answer, you may think to yourself, boy that was silly or you may have a legitimate reason to be afraid of flying. Someone you know could have died in a plane crash or you yourself could have been in a plane emergency landing. The thing to remember is that you know that every time you drive on the highway you could die and you are aware of thousands of people who have died in car accidents; yet few people have a fear of driving in a car.
So, consciousness is the second step.

The third step is to clear that energy by replacing it with, positive energy. We are going to use the, positive energy, of gratitude. Sit comfortably again. Imagine a bright light entering the crown of your head moving down through your check, down your throat to your chest, down your abdomen through your feet.
Feel this light fill all your energy centers as you become fully relaxed. Now expand this energy out from your chest past the room, past your city, past your country, past the clouds, past the sun, past the planet into the stratosphere. You are now floating in cyberspace. If you can bring your fear to mind in this space, do so now.

Then replace that feeling of fear with the feeling of gratitude. Gratitude that you are alive, gratitude that you are in your sound mind, gratitude that you have a place to sleep and food to eat. Gratitude that you are wealthier than 95% of the people in the world and you have the resources to travel to exotic destinations. Gratitude that you will not let fear rob you of your joy.
Now set the intention to fly to the first place on your bucket list within the year.

No Fear : How to Live with Courage

How to Become the Author of Your Life

You are the, author of your life. When we were born we had an beginning page and an end page.  It is up to us to, author, and fill in the pages in-between. We are the, author, of the script, the director and the producer of our lives. Life by design, is what I teach as a, life coach. And I think that one of the first things that we can do is if we understand the power of self-amplifying feedback loops, the way our spaces influence our thinking and our thinking in turn influences our spaces.  We could then control what happens to us by exercising creative control over the circumstances that we throw ourselves into.

Introduction to Life by Design

There’s always going to be the wild card. There’s always going to be the circumstances you can’t plan for; but, life by design, is the concept that we can use our thoughts and the, law of attraction, to bring to us all that we desire.  There’s always the unexpected relevance and the, serendipity. But just like that book The Power of Pull talks about, we can funnel the, serendipity, or we can channel the, serendipity, funnel. We can help engender and engineer serendipity by the choices that we make every moment, and live a, life by design.

  • We all have experienced the, serendipity, of relevant information arriving just when we were least expecting it.

  • It was only through pure, serendipity, that I met my best friend!

  • Your chances of finding such a feature are down to either extremely assiduous trawling or mere, serendipity.

So by cultivating rich social networks, by cultivating weak ties, not just closed ties but the weak ties, by becoming connectors and by connecting others so that they connect us, we create a world in which these self-amplifying feedback loops feed on top of each other. So good circumstances lead to other good circumstances which lead to other good circumstances and each one of them encourages us to then live more openly and participate in that sort of creative flow space. Live a, life by design.

Be the, author, of your own self-help book, I just really believe that our creative choices ultimately shape who we become and so we should all be discerning and be radically open whenever possible and I think that we really can make a masterpiece out of our own lives if we so choose. But that requires, it requires a boldness of character as well, because seeing the radical freedom to live a, life by design. We have to compose our lives, what Leary called internal freedom.

The vertigo of freedom, this dizzying – what do I do? I can do anything? Well, the paradox of too much choice. But I think we can embrace that with courage and with boldness, and once we do, there’s nothing we can’t do but, author, the life we want.

How to Become the Author of our your Life

You are the, author of your life, As the, author of your life,  you can begin by taking control of our own lives. This  requires recognizing that while family or social circumstances influence our character, they do not determine it absolutely. The same is true of the most basic instincts that come from our heredity and bodily constitution. These instinctive ways of acting can be molded and guided by the exercise of a will that heeds the dictates of a well-formed reason.

Our personality is forged to the extent that we make free decisions, since our actions not only alter our environment but also shape our way of being. Although at times we aren’t fully aware of it, the repetition of acts leads us to acquire particular customs or attitudes in facing reality. Therefore when we explain the reason for our spontaneous reactions, rather than saying “that’s the way I am,” we should often admit: “that’s the way I have made myself.”

Transform Your Mind iHeart Radio
iHeart Radio

Our lives are conditioned by factors that are often difficult to control: for example, the quality of family relationships, the social environment in which we grow up, an illness that limits us in one way or another, etc. Although often we are unable to ignore or undo these limitations, we can certainly change our attitude in confronting them, especially if we are aware that nothing escapes God’s provident care.

It is important to keep reminding ourselves that Jesus did not address himself to a privileged set of people; he came to reveal the universal love of God to us. God loves all mankind, and he wants all to love him.  God is also the, author, and finisher of our lives. In any situation, even one that entails great limitations, we can offer God and our neighbors deeds of love, no matter how small these may seem. Who knows how great the value is of a smile in the midst of tribulation, of suffering offered to our Lord in union with the Cross, of patiently accepting small annoyances and setbacks! Nothing can quench a limitless love, a love stronger than suffering, loneliness, abandonment, betrayal, slander, physical and moral suffering, and even death itself.

The Dominatrix: Reshaping Power Dynamics in Sexuality

I teach women how to step into their power, their dominatrix. What we’ve traditionally associated with the men is giving, penetrating, holding but women can use their power in the bedroom.

Sexuality often remains a taboo topic, shrouded in mystery and replete with stereotypes. However, beneath the layers of cultural narratives lies an immense potential for healing, personal growth, and intimate connection.

In this riveting podcast episode, Life Coach Myrna Young and Dr. Liz Letford unveil insights into how sex can transcend mere physical gratification, becoming a tool for profound emotional healing and restoration of the, nervous system. By delving into the intertwined worlds of relationships, body awareness, and emotional responsiveness, this exploration reveals how truly transformative the act of sex can be when approached with vulnerability and consciousness.

Key Takeaways on Sex and Sexuality:

  • Sexual Healing and Emotional Freedom: Understanding the deeper emotional currents within sexual experiences can lead to significant healing of past traumas and emotional blockages and promote sexuality
    • Dynamic Relationship Roles: Men and women can benefit from exploring both giving and receiving roles in sex, breaking away from traditional power dynamics and discovering personal empowerment.
    • Body Church Movement: Dr. Liz Letford’s unique practice uses collective somatic experiences, such as movement and sound, to create coherence among diverse groups for systemic healing, unity and sexuality.

The Intersection of Sex and Emotional Well-being

A core theme that emerged from the discussion is the relationship between, sexual intimacy, and emotional well-being. Dr. Liz articulates a perspective where physical closeness serves as the doorway to not just pleasure, but also the space where one can confront and heal unresolved emotional conflicts. She describes how every sexual encounter acts as a stage, reflecting earlier life events that may have impacted one’s psyche, a process especially potent when memories tied to these emotions elude conscious awareness.

The interaction of sexuality  with emotional well-being underscores the raw potential that lies in our physical interactions to act as a conduit for catharsis.

Dr. Liz notes, “Our sexual nature, our erotic nature, is exquisitely designed to heal our emotional, our physical, and our spiritual bodies.

The healing is not just an abstract idea but has tangible effects, from soothing hormonal imbalances to aiding in recovery from emotional scars. The implications are vast, suggesting that by redefining sex as a mutual, emotionally-attuned experience, individuals can work through deeply entrenched issues and foster more harmonious relationships.

    Reshaping Power Dynamics in Sexuality

The dialogue seamlessly shifts to contemplate the energy dynamics within sexual relationships. The traditional script writes men as givers and women as receivers, but Dr. Liz challenges these norms by advocating for a fluid exchange where individuals can alternate roles. The notion presented is not to obliterate gender roles but to empower individuals to explore their sexuality and embrace both dimensions of giving and receiving power.

Quotes from Dr. Liz encapsulate this shift: “ultimately power […] everyone deserves to taste what that tastes like.” By acquainting oneself with differing polarities of power, a person can unlock a more versatile form of expression and connection. Embracing one’s full spectrum of capabilities creates room for a more fulfilling and equitable intimate interaction. Men learning to hold space for potent, feminine energy, and women discovering their own assertive power can reinvigorate the foundations of personal and partnership growth.

Stepping into Sexual power as a Dominatrix

When your body feels safe, that’s when your body opens up to its healing bliss. Its this bliss ecstatic state, which we’ve called orgasm. And so if you are receiving only because you’ve been told that, because you said society told you to do that because you’re afraid.

If you’ve never expressed what it’s like to give, to penetrate, to take, and all of the expressions of that penetrative energy, your system has the potential to be out of balance. And so I teach this, I have something called dragon school, where I teach women how to step into their power, their containment. What we’ve traditionally associated with the men is giving, penetrating, holding. And so I went to dominatrix school and trained as a dominatrix.

I don’t necessarily need to use pain, or deep penetration, put pleasure where the pain is. So I don’t really identify as a dominatrix, but it’s the closest thing that people can associate with what I do. So I teach women how to step into their dragon archetype, their protector. They’re badass. And it’s really so healing. So just by embodying these other energies, we are able to express the thing that we’ve been told is not nice to be expressed, or, shame on you, or.

Moments in the conversation shed light on the idea that sharing and witnessing each other’s emotional journeys can foster understanding and empathy across historical divides such as race, gender and sexuaity.

This practice pushes the boundaries of individual healing into the realm of collective catharsis. It suggests that to address the societal fractures, an embodied approach that taps into the resonance of human connection is key. As Dr. Liz remarks, “It’s vibrating the body and entraining the body to a different frequency.” This notion of communal vibration shifts the focus from isolated experiences to shared human truths, potentially bridging gaps of misunderstanding and opening pathways to societal reconciliation.

The Impact of Environmental Toxins on Fertility

Dr. O’Bryan emphasizes that chronic inflammatory diseases, such as Alzheimer’s, heart disease, and diabetes, are largely caused by inflammation. Inflammation occurs when our immune system fights against toxins in our body. Surprisingly, many people are unaware that the foods they eat can contribute to inflammation, even if they don’t experience immediate digestive symptoms.

For example, a study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association found that women with infertility problems who consumed higher amounts of fruits and vegetables had a higher likelihood of unsuccessful implantation and more miscarriages and stillbirths. However, when these women consumed organic fruits and vegetables, the outcomes were significantly better. This highlights the importance of choosing organic produce to minimize exposure to harmful chemicals.

Dr Obryan’s Infertility Story

Dr O’Bryan what inspired you to focus on, environmental toxins?

I was an intern in my education in Chicago and my ex and I could not get pregnant. So I called the seven most famous holistic doctors I’d ever heard of and asked them all what do you do for infertility.  They all told me what they do and I put a program together and we were pregnant in six weeks.  My neighbors in married housing had been through artificial insemination and nothing had worked and they asked if I’d work with them.

I said well you know I don’t really know what I’m doing but I don’t think it’ll hurt you. They were pregnant in three months so we’re now four months pregnant and just hot to trot to tell the world of what we were learning. Our friends in Chicago had a sister who had two miscarriages that lived in Wisconsin and she would drive down and ask please can I talk to you.  So people started coming to see me and and I was treating people out of my dormatory room.

I realize is that there’s not much in medicine that’s all or every, but this was every couple that had any infertility problems with hormones, reproductive issues, recurrent miscarriages, premature ejaculations, low testosterone, low progesterone, it didn’t matter every couple had as a contributing component to their problem.

Foods that cause inflammation and infertility

They were eating foods that they didn’t know were a problem for them causing inflammation.  Because we think if we eat something and if we don’t feel bad after we eat it it’s okay for us; but we know in the science the ratio is 8 to one.  For every one person that gets, gut symptoms, with a problem with wheat for example there are eight people that don’t they get brain symptoms or skin symptoms.

They’ve got psoriasis or they’ve got acne or they’ve got rheumatoid arthritis or they’ve got thyroid disease, they don’t get gut symptoms so if you think that you have to have gut symptoms before you suspect of food is not good for you.

Detoxing Your Body and Home

To reduce your exposure to environmental toxins, Dr. O’Bryan recommends taking small steps towards detoxing your body and home. One of the most crucial steps is to increase your water intake. Dehydration can hinder your body’s ability to flush out toxins, so aim to drink a third of an ounce of water per pound of body weight each day. This simple habit can have a significant impact on your overall health.

Additionally, consider incorporating houseplants into your home. NASA studies have shown that certain houseplants can absorb up to 74% of toxins in the air. By placing houseplants in various rooms, you can improve the air quality and reduce your exposure to harmful chemicals.

Another important aspect of detoxing is choosing non-toxic household products. Many cleaning supplies, cosmetics, and personal care products contain chemicals that can be harmful to your health. Look for organic alternatives and avoid products that contain phthalates, parabens, and other toxic ingredients.

Phthalates are a group of chemicals used to make plastics more durable and as solvents and stabilizers in cosmetics and other products. They are also known as “plasticizers”. Phthalates are found in hundreds of products, including lubricating oils.

Jesus’ Surprising Message on Fasting Vs Feasting

In this podcast episode, I uncover Jesus’ surprising message on fasting. This will blow your mind! In this episode of 5 min Fridays with Life coach Myrna Young, author and self-development coach, I share Jesus’ surprising message on fasting. This message will change the way you think about fasting, and may even inspire you to take start enjoying life.

What Jesus said about Fasting

My foundational scripture for this message today is Mark 2:19: When asked why he or his disciples did not fast like John the Baptist and the Pharisees Jesus replied:

Do wedding guests mourn while celebrating with the groom? Of course not. But someday the groom will be taken away from them, and then they will fast.

The other two parables, which are similar, make the same point. The first one says you don’t put a new patch on an old garment, and the second says you don’t put new wine into an old wineskin.

In the first parable, if you put a new patch on an old garment, when the new patch shrinks due to washing, it will tear away from the older garment, making the tear worse. Similarly, new wine needs a new wineskin because as the new wine expands during the fermentation process, it stretches the wineskin. An old wineskin will burst under the pressure of new wine.

Is Intermitting fasting the same as fasting?

I have been talking a lot on the podcast about, intermittent fasting, but Jesus is talking about fasting by denying yourself food for longer periods of time. Jesus is saying that fasting and mourning go together.

Intermittent fasting, is not traditional fasting. Jesus is saying that when you are celebrating, when all is well, when your groom is with you, when your marriage is doing great, there is no need to fast in fact that is the time to eat because we eat at weddings we eat, drink and be merry.

He is also saying the day will come when (notice the language) he did not say if he said when the groom will be taken away and that is the time for mourning and fasting.

What are you feasting on when things are good?

Today I want to change the word fasting out and replace it with feasting. What are you feasting on while your groom is with you, when all is well with your soul? How many people do not live life and have fun when everything is going well in life.

You are in a loving relationship, your groom is still with you, your children are with you, your health is with you, yet you deny yourself the pleasures of life. You work and go home, then one day you will no longer have your groom, you will no longer have your family, you will no longer have your health and that is the time for fasting and mourning; not when you should be celebrating life, when you should be feasting on the fruits of life.

Here are a few Pleasures of life you should be feasting on

1. That first sip of coffee in the morning.

2. Taking a bath.

3. Hearing the right song at the right moment.

4. The sunset.

5. A peaceful place to sit.

6. The smell of an aromatic candle.

7. Clothes fresh out of the dryer.

8. A Hot Fudge Sundae (or equally decadent dessert of your choice).

9. Receiving an unexpected compliment.

10. A hot shower after a long day.

11. Receiving a letter – yes, a handwritten letter – that’s not a bill.

12. Sleeping in.

13. Driving with your windows down.

14. Dining by candlelight.

15. The smell of freshly cut grass.

16. Dancing.

17. Freshly baked cookies.

18. Climbing into a bed with fresh sheets.

19. That feeling after finishing a tough workout.

20. Flowers beginning to bloom on a spring day.

21. The pitter-patter of rain.

22. Enjoying a home-cooked meal with your family.

23. Reading a book that resonates with you.

24. A cool breeze on a hot day.

25. Having a good laugh.

You can’t put new wine in old wineskin

Jesus also responded that we don’t put new wine in old skins because when the new wine ferments it will burst the old skin.

He is also telling us that we need to change our ways change our mindset, renew your mind.

If you try to put new information in an old mindset you are going to have a problem. So, take a look at your fruit. If you don’t have the fruit that you want, then you need to start changing your wineskin, your mindset.

That new mindset could be I am going to live until I die. I am going to start feasting on the abundance this life has to offer, because the day is going come to an end, then I will experience loss and mourning and thus the need for fasting, but not today.

Understanding Wendy Williams Dementia and its Link to Alcohol Consumption

Dementia is a collective term for a range of cognitive impairments that affect memory, thinking, and social abilities. Alzheimer’s disease is the most common form of dementia, but there are other types such as vascular dementia and Lewy body dementia. Research has increasingly explored lifestyle factors that contribute to the development of dementia, and alcohol consumption has emerged as a potential player in this complex equation.

Numerous scientific studies have investigated the relationship between alcohol and dementia, revealing that excessive alcohol intake can lead to structural and functional changes in the brain. These changes include shrinkage of brain tissue and alterations in neurotransmitter function. When neurons are not firing together properly, cognitive decline occurs over time. Additionally, heavy drinking can lead to conditions such as liver disease and nutritional deficiencies, further increasing the risk of dementia.

The Importance of Moderation and Responsible Drinking

While the evidence suggests a connection between heavy alcohol consumption and an increased risk of dementia, it is important to note that moderation may be the key to preserving cognitive function. Moderate alcohol consumption has been associated with certain health benefits, such as the resveratrol found in red wine, which is believed to be good for the heart. However, it is crucial to differentiate between moderate drinking and excessive drinking.

Excessive alcohol consumption, as demonstrated by Wendy Williams’ experience, can tip the scale towards detrimental effects on cognitive function. Drinking three bottles of wine in one night or consuming a bottle of vodka is excessive and can have long-term effects on brain health. The key is to strike a balance between enjoying the potential benefits of alcohol in moderation and minimizing the associated health risks.

Health organizations, including the World Health Organization and national health agencies, provide guidelines on alcohol consumption. These guidelines emphasize moderate and responsible drinking, with clear definitions of what constitutes a standard drink. Adhering to these recommendations can help individuals maintain a balance between enjoying the potential benefits of alcohol and minimizing the risk of developing dementia and other health issues.
